Pre-flight shopping for Bournemouth passengers

15.05.2006 Thomsonfly is making it possible for Bournemouth passengers to pre-purchase their onboard shopping online.

As part of a trial exclusively for flights from Bournemouth, from 15 May passengers from Bournemouth will be able to pre-select Thomsonfly’s wide range, including gifts, accessories, fragrances, skincare and travel essentials from the comfort of their home or office. This will save them time, effort and the bustle of shopping on the high street before they travel – significantly lightening their load through the airport.

In 2005 Thomsonfly was awarded the accolade of World Inflight Retailer Of The Year for the quality and choice of its onboard range. In addition to the extensive range of items on board the airline has extra items on sale to celebrate the World Cup and help passengers to show their support for the England team.

Bournemouth passengers can pre-purchase at www.thomsonfly.com and when they board the aircraft at Bournemouth their inflight shopping will be waiting for them. This new service gives Bournemouth passengers the opportunity to purchase items from the entire Thomsonfly range – previously, due to space restrictions on the 737 aircraft, (which is the model of aircraft operating from Bournemouth,) it has only been possible to offer a selection of the range on the aircraft.

If the service proves successful, the plan is to introduce it to more passengers for whom the full range is not currently available.
