Warning of extensive road works and traffic disruption on the approach to London Luton Airport.

29.05.2007 M1 Widening - J6 - 10A

In addition to the major road works currently underway on the M1 motorway, please be aware of the following full closures to the M1 in both directions between M1 J8 and J9 on the following dates;

1) 2100hrs June 9th to 0900hrs 10th June 2007
2) 2100hrs 16th June to 0900hrs 17th June
3) 2100hrs 23rd June to 0900hrs 24th June

Diversions for all southbound M1 traffic will be from J9 along A5183, B487, A414 and rejoin at M1J8. Diversions for M1 northbound traffic will be from M1 J8, A414, B487, A5183 and rejoin at M1 J9.

Passengers are advised to expect significant delays for the duration of these works, particularly at peak times and are strongly advised to leave additional travel time to get to/from London Luton Airport.

Passengers travelling from the east should be aware that some diversions are in place.
